For the great adventurers: a wooden magnet engraved with a 20-sided die, perfect for role-playing game enthusiasts.

This magnet can be attached alone to certain metal surfaces such as a fridge or metal furniture, or simply placed in the decor of your choice.

Please note that not all metals are suitable for magnet attachment: check that the chosen surface allows the magnet to adhere properly. It can hold a sheet of paper, but it remains primarily decorative and is not designed to support weight.

If you prefer to be on the dark side, there is also this 20-sided dark magnet (see image).

Features :

Magnet made of basswood plywood and magnetic sheet.

Made in France.

Covered with a durable, UV-resistant varnish. However, avoid placing it on hot surfaces (oven, stove, etc.) as this could cause it to warp more quickly.

Thickness 3 mm.

Care instructions :

Washes easily with warm water.

Do not leave it soaking in water.

Avoid using products that are too abrasive or corrosive for cleaning.

Rinse well after cleaning and wipe dry directly with a soft cloth to extend its life.

It is not recommended to clean it using a dishwasher.

Keep away from prolonged humidity and large temperature variations (against oven or stove).

Wooden items

Wood is a living material : it is both a symbol of strength and flexibility. It does not retain exactly the same shape over time: its deformation remains slight, but not non-existent.

Therefore, the larger a piece of wood is, the more likely it is to warp slightly over time. Humidity is the main factor that accentuates this phenomenon, especially with hot water.

Moreover, to bend wood in crafts, steam or hot water is sometimes used to “shape” it and allow a straight piece of wood to become a true work of curved art .

Other factors that can change the shape or appearance of wood include exposure to light and air . The wood may darken or lighten slightly.

To ensure your wooden product retains its shape and appearance for years, even decades, it is recommended :

  • to avoid all (or part) prolonged contact with water or liquid.
  • not to expose it to high humidity (bathroom, unprotected outdoors),
  • to protect it from sudden temperature changes (such as placing it against an oven or stove),
  • to wipe it immediately after cleaning with a dry cloth,
  • If necessary, apply a thin layer of oil or natural wax from time to time to nourish the wood and strengthen its resistance.

Boiling water is defined as water that reaches a temperature where prolonged contact with the skin poses a risk of burns. Above 50°C, second-degree burns can occur.

In homes, hot water from the tap is generally set around 50 to 60°C, here is a simple guide : if you cannot hold your hand under the water for more than a minute , it is already too hot to use on wood without accelerating its deformation.

Protect the wood

To naturally protect your wood, you need to apply an oil to it; this penetrates the fibers, nourishes the material from the inside and offers good protection against humidity and certain stains .

Here, we use 100% natural, cold-pressed linseed oil . But why? Because there are linseed oils that are not 100% natural and that mix other ingredients, although their effectiveness is improved, they are not usable for food because they are toxic! Linseed oil is one of the best and most effective natural oils !

What about other oils?

  • Food grade mineral oil : it is stable and does not go rancid, but it is not a natural oil of vegetable origin, it comes from petrochemicals.
  • Tung oil : 100% vegetable-based, it offers excellent protection and a beautiful finish. However, its production is almost exclusively located in Asia (especially China) and South America, as the tung tree does not grow in Europe. It must therefore be imported.

Top tip : Apply the oil with a cloth, let it soak in for a few minutes, then carefully wipe off any excess. For long-lasting protection, repeat this process once a year (for ideal maintenance).

In addition to oil , beeswax can be applied as a finish. Entirely natural, it forms a protective film on the surface, accentuates the water-repellent effect and gives a slightly satiny appearance to the wood. It is a traditional and very effective recipe for protecting cutting boards and wooden utensils.

Laser engraving

Laser engraving is at the heart of our creations and gives each piece a large part of its unique character. This technology has progressed enormously in recent years, allowing impressive levels of precision and finesse to be achieved. Today, it is no longer limited to a simple surface mark: it offers a lasting, clean aesthetic result that is perfectly suited to wood and many other materials.

Our engraving machine is a state-of-the-art professional model . Its power and precision surpass those of many older machines, allowing us to engrave with great consistency, regardless of the motif or the complexity of the design. Lines remain crisp, contrasts are strong, and depth is controlled, for a result that enhances both small text and detailed illustrations.

Each type of wood reacts differently to the laser beam: some fibers offer a very dark contrast, others a softer and more subtle result. This natural character makes each engraving unique, as the grain, density, and color of the wood slightly influence the final result. This is also what gives each piece its authenticity.

In addition to its precision, laser engraving has another advantage: its durability. Unlike printing or painting, it does not fade over time and allows you to mark the wood with relief , since the wood is deeply marked. Combined with a protective finish (oil, wax or varnish), it guarantees a personalization that lasts for years without losing its sharpness.

A work of creation and manufacturing

Each piece has its own particularities : grain, color, small knots or variations in fibers are part of its natural charm. Similarly, during woodworking and engraving, small variations (colors, engraving intensity, micro-details) are part of the authenticity of the manufacturing and thus, the rendering on the wood fiber can vary slightly depending on these many parameters.

These peculiarities are not considered defects that make a product non-compliant. But they add to its charm and unique character.

These singularities are at the heart of craftsmanship: they remind us that each object is a manual work despite the presence of machines. It still requires careful checking, sanding, and finishing.
